Beautiful B&B south of Savannah, Georgia. Our room was very well appointed, good breakfasts, access to the entire house with an excellent library, cable TV, and wireless internet! Our hosts are both wildlife biologists and were able to give us good advice and information about visiting wildlife preserves and the Okefenokee Swamp. Highly recommended. -- "pavot," San Diego, CA

We had the room over the carriage house and it was great. Lots of space and privacy. Jeff and Kelly are biologists and have many field guides and natural history references scattered about the common rooms. They are also wonderful hosts. A beautiful B&B with a nice pool and common area, on a quiet street in a lovely small town. The innkeepers are friendly, helpful, and down to earth, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. We felt very much at home. "Crape Myrtle," Washington, DC.

Our second stay at Open Gates was every bit as good as the first! The nice rooms, hospitality and relaxing atmosphere can not be duplicated, as we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location of the Inn (Darien, Georgia) is in a very historical small coastal shrimping town and is worth exploring. The Inn Keepers put a lot of effort into ensuring that each guest is comfortable and well informed on local events and touring opportunities. We stopped overnight en route to Charleston - wished we could have stayed longer! Excellent accomodation with a warm reception. As we were the only guests that night our hosts left us to our own devices in the beautiful house with plentiful supply of hot tea/coffee and cake. We were booked into the first class Island Room. The house is set in a wonderful square near to the church. The silence is wonderful. Breakfast the following morning was superb and we had to tear ourselves away. We can thoroughly recommend this as a place to come to rest. We cannot recommend it enough. Kelly and Jeff Spratt were perfect hosts. -- "A Trip Advisor Member"
